Gluten Free Chocolate Mug Cake

This chocolate cake takes seconds to cook in the microwave but don't let that put you off, it is exactly like proper cake, though it is more calorific than your average slice! It is packed with chocolaty goodness and full of flavour, you could even add you favourite flavourings such as peppermint or orange.

Ingredients

3tbsp gluten free self raising flour
1tbsp cocoa powder
1.5tbsp sugar
1 large egg
0.5tbsp oil
few drops of peppermint essence, orange flavouring or other flavouring (optional)
10g choc chips (optional)
Squirt chocolate sauce (optional
10g grated chocolate (optional

Method

1. Mix together flour, cocoa and sugar in a large mug.

2. Beat in the egg and oil until you get a glossy, smooth mix. Add in a few drops of any flavourings if you wish to make something a little different from a plain chocolate cake, peppermint or orange flavourings both work well.

3. Stir in the chocolate chips and then place in the microwave for 1 and half minutes until cooked (the top will be sold with no liquid bits)

4. Top with some optional extras if you wish, grated chocolate, chocolate sauce etc
