Gluten Free Meatball Marinara Style Wrap

Wraps are great for lunches, this one has been made to be reminiscent of a meatball marinara, however it's not quite as saucey, though you could add extra if you want it to be a bit more covered. Besides the wrap, it's one easy to make gluten free as long as you pick up the right premade meatballs or make your own!

Ingredients

3 Aldi 5% meatballs (or other gluten free meatballs)
1tbsp tomato puree
1tbsp tamari sauce
1tsp sweet chilli sauce
1/4tsp sugar
1 Warburtons Gluten Free Wrap
Handful mixed leaves
30g cheddar cheese
  • Preparation Time: 5 Mins
  • Cooking Time: 15 Mins
  • This recipe makes 1 Serving

Method

1. Fry the meatballs in a frying pan, frying for a few minutes on each side until well browned on all sides and cooked through in the middle.

2. In a bowl mix together the tomato puree, tamari sauce, sweet chilli sauce and sugar. Pour into the frying pan with the meatballs, stir the meatballs around in the sauce until covered, try to do this fast as the sauce will quickly burn. This does only lightly coat the meatballs, you can double the sauce ingredients if you want it a bit more saucy.

3. Place a handful of mixed leaves (and any other salad ingredients if desired) down the centre of a Warburtons Gluten Free square wrap, top the salad with cheddar cheese then place the meatballs and sauce on top. Wrap up and enjoy!
